The Great Pumpkin Hunt

We had an amazing family fun time at the pumpkin patch this morning.      It just might have been my favorite activity yet! I am sure its just because Leah is getting older and can enjoy more things!

She would not let go of her snack cup, even though it was empty.

Daddy and Leah on old fire truck

I love our family!

Excited for our train ride!!!

Im just a bit too big for it huh?   I had a hard time getting out!

Cute, but Leah is trying to escape us!

So sweet!

Leah loved the hayride!

My favorite picture from the day!! I think I will have to frame it, get a cute halloween picture frame, and get it out every year!

We each got our own pumpkin... Leah LOVES hers!

She would not let go of it even when we left!

I loved out trip to the Pumpkin Patch!! I am even more excited to know that each year will just get more and more fun! :)

She is Her Father's Child

We have a picky eater on our hands....

Today is how Leah ate according to school:

AM:

Cherrios - All
Fruit Snacks - All
Cup/Milk - most ... she gets her morning milk at like 830... and usually she just had a bottle when she woke up at 645, so she doesnt drink very much in the morning....

Lunch:

Turkey - None
Cheese - None
Bread - All
Mixed Fruit - Some
Green Beans - None
Cup/Juice - Most

PM:

Graham Crackers - All
Cup/Milk - All

My child likes any sort of bread product... and fruit... This is not the first time I have gotten a report like this... usually she eats about one thing for lunch... (They always get some sort of meat, a veggie, and fruit)

You know what else she will eat...  Pizza.   She LOVES piza! She ate almost a whole slice the other night!   Then tonight... I gave her a whole chicken strip thinking she wouldnt eat any of it.. she would just play with it... she ate HALF!   I guess those 8 teeth of hers can do some damage!

And I bribe/distract her with Count Chocula cereal.   Give her a handful and oh my goodness she is so excited!!.... and I can get something done!  She is so over Gerber puffs.

She is her father's child.

Documentation

This is Leah's blankie.  Tan, with a starred trim.   Winnie the Pooh brand, but no characters are present.

I would just like to document it before it becomes a rag....

Her love for it started early.... as I favorited it myself since it was a lighter weight blanket for the summer.
It is beginning to go everywhere with us... Her face lights up when she sees in the car after school... like its her best friend that she cant wait to tell a big secret to.  "OH MY GOSH! BLanket!"  I imagine she is saying in her head.
When she is really tired and crabby she loves to wrap herself in it and then pretend to be an ostrich and burry her face in it.

It was given to us by our Neighbors, Stacey, Denver, and Hunter as a gift when she was born.

 Blankie = Love = Comfort

I dont see her giving it up anytime soon...

Im an Aunt!

After a long, unsuccessful induction (induced Monday, sent home Tuesday afternoon because of no progression, back to the hospital Tuesday night, and finally born Wednesday morning)   Miss Jenna Marie Lagermann graced us with her presence!

 Adorable little family huh?

I am so excited about being an Aunt! There is something about Aunt that = spoiling to me!   I have great Aunts... it must be where I get it!  :)

This maybe one of the reasons why I have such baby fever....

Plus I am so excited that Leah will have a life long friend to grow up with!   Now lets hope they like eachother!   They have yet to meet....

Lets be honest...

I have baby fever.

I miss being pregnant. I miss feeling beautiful every day no matter what because nothing is more beautiful than a pregnant woman. I miss having the excuse to eat anything my heart desired. I miss getting up every morning and pulling my shirt up when I looked in the mirror to see how much I grew over night. I miss carrying the baby around with me 24/7 and being entertained during boring meetings by watching my belly move. I miss feeling like my body had a purpose, a purpose to grow a human being.

I miss the excitement and anticipation of a due date. I miss the daydreams of what your little bundle of joy will look like and grow into. I miss the actual delivery experience. There is nothing greater in the world than welcoming a new little baby. It is the greatest moment when you see your little one for the first time, look into their eyes, and just know that your life is changed forever. I miss that feeling of being on cloud 9 because you are just so in love.

I miss having an itty bitty baby that is so dependent on me. (crazy I know!) I miss sitting for hours holding them, watching them sleep, and rocking the night away.

Leah is still a baby, and will always be my baby. But it seems like over night she grew from this:

 To this:

...and is becoming more independent by the day. I can barely even remember when she was an itty bitty thing, just out of the oven...

Im ready for another.

The best job ever!

POSITION : Mother, Mom, Mama, Mommy, Momma, Ma

Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE : None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

WAGES AND COMPENSATION: Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left.
