Trying to make this a super fast update as this week I am pressed for time..
SO many fun things to do...
1 exam and 1 Interim Assessment to get thru first...
Santa Dash 5k this weekend was alot of fun!
It was cool seeing everyone dressed alike and running/walking down the street...
But not so much a run you want to see if you can reach any particular time...
The first mile was spent testing out our agility as we had to weave around walkers.
I ended up with a time of 29:49...
Not my best by any means but still not horrible and pretty good considering we had to run thru all these people! I think I was like 474 out of 2500+ runs... not bad.
Work friends... Melanie knows how to take awesome pictures of me...
So glad I met up with these ladies! I love having people to run along with!
The aftermath...
Ha! Got you!
You can read Mel's recap of the race HERE.Today I took a PTO day to get caught up on my studying...
If you havent caught on, I do HORRIBLE with managing my stress right before an exam or anything so I knew I needed to take today off to calm my nerves and review.
Hopefully no panic attack - " CANNOT SLEEP! must clean the house" episodes will occur...
So I was hoping to get thru my material so I could take a run around 2...
I started to question my sanity because the weather channel told me it was 29 degrees out, but felt like 19.
But I knew I had to get out there...
If I skipped today I would end up skipping many more days come January & February when I am supposed to really be training for a half marathon!
So 1 pair of under armor running tights, 1 pair of cold weather Hidu pants, 1 cold weather Hidu shirt, 1 nike running jacket, gloves, head band, and 1 pair of AMAZING Mizuno Body Warming Thermo socks that were gifted to me this weekend by Brian's Aunt and cousin and I was ready to hit the road!
PS - I have a new to me phone!! Upgraded to an Iphone4 thanks to Brian's cousin who happened to get a new phone I day I killed mine!
7.26 miles & 1 hr and 14 minutes later I was back at home.
The run was awesome and I never felt cold at all!
I even wanted to take my jacket off but I figured that was probably crazy of me and I would end up sick or something....
I can totally conquer running this winter!
I actually really cannot wait to run in the snow too!!
How fun would it be to run with the snow falling down!?
I am crazy...
And in case you are wondering...
down another 1.8 lbs...
I guess I can drink more beer and eat more pizza and still lose weight!
This trying to run 100 miles in December is really burning the calories...
And if you are counting...
Thats 70 lbs in 6 months.
27 lbs from pre baby...
Oh and I am a little behind on my December milage...
Day 10 & 27.5 miles down...
I skipped 4 days of running since I was phone less...
aka no music and no distance tracker...
Back at it now!
I will get back ahead!
You are so inspiring, Kim! I am nowhere close to your speed or distance but following you keeps me going! Keep updating!
